It’s so exciting to have POC and femme representation in children’s media. Bumblebee’s design is wonderful, and this action figure is well made. As someone born in the ’80’s, I’m super impressed at the toy’s range of motion. Kudos to DC!

I just got her in and I absolutely love her! She’s a fantastic figure, just like Wonder Woman.

    Highly recommend.

Love the Bumblebee action figure. And all the 6″ action figures. This size is just perfect for my granddaughters to play with.

Hulkbuster Iron Man vs Hulk!! Worth the $., May 6, 2015

Pretty innovative as far as mini-figure accessories go. Iron Man comes without a helmet so you can see that he is Tony Stark. Hulk is spring loaded, so you can push down on his torso and when you let go he “jumps”. This takes some practice and my 4 year old is able to get him to “jump” roughly half the time. However, in the movie the Hulk is nearly as big as the hulkbuster Iron Man suit, so it doesn’t make sense for the Hulk figure to be so small here. The hulkbuster itself can move arms, but not legs for some reason. The left hand consists of 3 spinning claws that spin when the button on the arm is pushed. Also the claws have springs so they clamp down on whatever can fit in their grasp. The hulkbuster suit opens up when the plate on the torso is pushed. Iron Man fits into the “cockpit” standing up, and the suit closes. One issue with the design is that while playing the plate will be inadvertently pushed and Iron Man will be propelled out of the suit. Also, it can be tricky to close the cockpit unless Iron Man is placed exactly right, which may lead to frustration. Despite the flaws it is worth the $20.

My two sons – a 4-year-old and a 2-year-old love superheroes and robots. The 4-year-old asked for this toy specifically after seeing it in Target. Needless to say, he loves it. However, there are issues. First, after just a couple months of play, the spring inside the Hulk that came with the toy does not work well enough to make Hulk jump high enough to open Hulkbuster. Second, the cockpit opens too easily during normal play. At times, it takes me (not the boys) multiple efforts to close it so it stays closed. Third – the arms move, but the legs don’t. Lastly, other figures don’t comfortably fit inside the Hulkbuster while others do’t fit at all. If your kids like to mix and match with Star Wars figures, don’t expect too many of those to work with Hulkbuster either. Regardless, the boys still love it and the cost isn’t overly unreasonable, so it’s worth a buy if you have young superheroes in your house.

Cool concept, poor execution. So the idea is that hulk is spring-loaded and you can make him pop into the front of the hulk-buster and iron man will fall out…however, in order to achieve this, they had to make the button a rather large area with a VERY loose latching mechanism–in other words, it opens WAY too easily to be much fun. Both myself and my 4 1/2 y/old had trouble playing with it and keeping it closed at the same time; small movements and/or putting your finger in the wrong place when trying to move it around result in the front opening and iron man falling out. If they made another button to ‘lock’ it closed and not susceptible to the opening feature for hulk, it would have been a more satisfying toy. My son loves it, but quickly gets frustrated and usually doesn’t bother putting a character inside it since they will fall right out. One other complaint is the right arm of the hulk buster — it doesn’t do anything apart from swivel up down…would have been cool to make the fist extend in-out like in the movie or even just spring load it to pop out some (mechanically, neither would not have been hard for them to do). Apart from those complaints, it is fairly sturdy and still fun to play with.
