If you create 2 island table set, you might get trouble to make your waiters stand in each island like this.
This is simple way to fixing waiters position
If you get this problems, Just go to edit layout mode and turn over the stove several time until it back to current position and save it
If it still doesn’t work, do that again and again with different stove. It always work for me even though I use different stove.

Hi there i am having problems with my 2 islands because chefs on one of the island might cook for the OTHER island then the waiter cant get the food to the other side.. any idea how to help that?

They were just asking about if you had two island setups, whether a chef from one will make food for the other. And if so, how do they get the food there. My assumption is that the chefs will only make food for the tables around them.
it depends where you put your stoves. your first waiter will start off in front of your first stove. your second waiter will start off in front of your second stove. Change your stove placement so that you get a waiter in each island setup.
